Obituary for Alan Scott West

Alan Scott West, 16, of Georgetown passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Alan was born on July 10, 2007, in Lewes, Delaware. He attended Sussex Central High School in Georgetown, Delaware and was currently completing his Junior year.

Alan enjoyed building Lego sets and watching Star Wars and Marvel superhero movies. He was an animal lover and loved putting puzzles together.

Alan was preceded in death by his great paternal grandfather, Greensbury Elliott; and paternal grandfather, Thomas West.

Alan is survived by his parents, Scott and Samantha West of Georgetown; paternal great grandmother, Irene Elliott; paternal grandmother, Darlene West; maternal grandparents, Daniel and Phyllis Burton; sibling, Sophia “Will” West; a half-brother; Uncle, Timothy Benchoff; and grandparents, Linda and Mitch Cooper.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Short Funeral Services, 609 East Market Street, Georgetown, Delaware. Just prior to the celebration of life, a visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
