Alfred E. Kemp, III “Peanut” of Georgetown passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Wilmington Hospital. He was born in Milford, the son of the late Alfred E. Kemp, Jr. and Sara (Jefferson) Kemp. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Alfred was a cook at the Flag Ship Restaurant in Seaford. He enjoyed fishing. He was very active at the Home of the Brave. He was a former member of the Milford V.F.W. Alfred is survived by his wife of 28 years, Debra McMahon Kemp, Children, Christopher Kemp and Jason Kemp (Tracy); grandchildren, Wyatt and Jason, Jr.; sisters, Bonnie Moore (Danny) and Linda Ellis; nieces and nephews, Misty, Santiago, Tony and T.J. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 21, 2021 at 12:30 pm in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown, where friends may call after 11:30. Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. All attending will be asked to adhere to the revised mask and social distancing guidelines.
