Anita Louise Betts

Anita Louise Betts of Georgetown passed away at home peacefully in her sleep on March 18, 2025. She was 86.

Mrs. Betts was born APRIL 19, 1938, the daughter of the late Dorsey and Louise (Harrison) Lowe.

Anita was a waitress for Smith’s Family Restaurant for many years.

She was a member of member of Goshen United Methodist in Milton, had a daycare, enjoyed playing bingo, doing gardening and yard work, but mostly spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by her husband Milton Betts, son Arthur Sanger and two brothers Linwood and Calvin Lowe.

She is survived by her children; Charles Sanger of Seaford; Jesse and Robert Sanger of Georgetown, and Debbie Walton of Georgetown.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St. Georgetown. Friends may call after 11am. Burial will be held at Oddfellows Cemetery in Milton.
