Annabelle Dill Mills

Annabelle Dill Mills, 91, of Milford, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, October 5, 2023.

Annabelle was born on November 28, 1931, to the late Willis and Mary (Wirick) Dill.

Annabelle was a lifetime resident of Delaware. She was proud to be a farm wife, pitching in wherever she was needed. Along with farm work, she also worked for International Latex Co. and the Bell Telephone Co. In her younger years, she and her husband, Donald, were members of the Diamond State Twirlers, a square-dancing club, and the Round Dance Club, a ballroom dancing club. She was a member of Calvary Church in Milford, and dedicated much time to serve as a board member. In her free time, she loved keeping a big vegetable garden and sewing.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her sister, Margaret Louise Boyer.

She will be greatly missed by her husband of 65 years, Donald Ira Mills; her daughter, Cynthia Mills Horton and husband, Robert; her son, Dennis Ira Mills; her sister, Ruth Gallo; her brother, Francis Dill and wife, Vivian; her grandsons, Greg Horton and wife, Jocelyn and Steven Horton; her great granddaughters, Annabelle and Corinne Horton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 12:00pm at Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St. Milford, DE 19963. A time of visitation will begin at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Milford Community Cemetery.
