Anthony Sorrenti, Jr.

MILTON – Anthony Sorrenti, Jr., passed away at home on Saturday, June 26, 2021. Anthony was born in Bayonne, NJ son of the late Anthony, Sr., and Grace (Funking) Sorrenti. Anthony graduated from Marist High School in Bayonne and attended college at St. Peter’s University in Jersey City, NJ. He later received his Master’s degree in social services from the College of Notre Dame in Baltimore, MD. Anthony worked for 22 years with the Social Security Administration and was currently working with Westat Incorporated as a social researcher. Anthony served our country and was honorably discharged from the US Army. Anthony enjoyed working with community theaters, especially acting, directing, and working as stage manager in Dundalk, MD and community theaters in the Baltimore City area. He was a fan of dogs, music, watching talk shows, attending Broadway plays, and he especially loved going on cruises. In addition to his parents, Anthony is preceded in death by his brother, Edward Sorrenti in 2018. He is survived by his brother, Michael Sorrenti and wife Doreen, a sister-in-law, Jeanne (wife of Edward); nieces and nephews, Justin, Jessica Ann, Kristopher, Amy and Megan Sorrenti; two great nieces, Amber and Alexis Rivera; his aunt, Catherine Riccio; many cousins; as well as a host of other family and friends. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date in New Jersey.
