Bertie "Beth" Sampson

Beth was born on May 4, 1946, in Easton, MD and passed away on December 21, 2023. She was 77 years old.

Beth grew up on her parents’ dairy farm in Centreville, MD and graduated from Centreville High School in 1964. She loved music, dancing and most of all, Beth enjoyed being involved and watching her sons play sports, especially baseball, which through their growing years, participated in their activities. She also had a lot of memories growing up on a farm with her brothers and sister.

Beth worked at All-Rite Rubbish Removal in Felton, DE for 18 years and then 11 ½ years at Independent Disposal Services in Townsend, DE as an office manager. In 2011, she retired from the work world, but left with a lot of memories and a lot of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Joyce Shover of Dover; Marion and Eloise Ewing of Chestertown, MD; her brother, Tommy Ewing of Chestertown, MD; and her beloved pets, Brandi, Midnight, and Raven.

Survivors are her loving, caring husband of 27 years, Roger Sampson; her three sons, Jeff Thompson of Chestertown, MD; Greg Thompson of Felton, DE; and Steve Thompson of Harrington, DE; grandson, Josh Thompson; and great-granddaughter, Ryleigh; a brother, Donnie (Toni) of Galeng, MD; many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
