MILTON – Beth Brown Scott was called by the Lord to her Heavenly home on Saturday, August 14, 2021. Beth was born in Milford and was a lifelong resident of Milton where she attended school in the Cape Henlopen School District and graduated from Epworth Christian School in 1987. After graduation, Beth worked in retail and as a county clerk; it was after that when she found the career she loved, working as a preschool teacher with several local daycare providers and with Kids First Academy Christian School. Beth adored the children whose lives she was blessed to influence daily and they adored their “Miss Beth” “Mrs. Scott” equally as much. Beth loved the Lord and was blessed with the gift of music and was versed in several musical instruments. As a young girl she began taking piano lessons and from the age of 14 volunteered as the church pianist with Grace Church, and later The Waters Edge, where she played until her health would no longer allow it. In addition to taking piano lessons for many years, Beth taught piano in her home as well. Her patience was immeasurable and no matter how the lesson went her students always left with a sticker and a tootsie roll. Beth’s legacy and influence will forever be seen in the gifts and talents of both her preschool and piano students. Beth leaves behind a family that adored her; husband, Wesley J. Scott; son, Corey J. Scott and his fiancé Riley Wallace; parents, Richard and Laura Brown; sister, Bridget Doel and husband Guy and their children, Blaine and Sydney; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alton and Barbara Scott; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Wendy Savage and husband Jessie and their children Talon and Avery; her faithful companion, Ace; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. A service to celebrate Beth’s life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at The Waters Edge, 13275 Reynolds Road, Milton, Del 19968. A time of visitation for family and friends will begin at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Milton. In lieu of flowers the family welcomes contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, Del 19968. Arrangements in the care of Short Funeral Services in Milton.
