Betty J. Buchanan, 85 of Milford, passed away quietly at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 23, 2023.

Betty was born on September 4, 1938 to Charles and Edna (Mitchell) Bennett of Milford, Del.

She loved planting flowers, cooking and Nascar races, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.

Betty was predeceased in death by her parents; son, David Buchanan; sisters, Arlene Bennett, Barbara Bennett, and Kathy Baker; and brothers, Richard Bennett and Billy Bennett. She is survived by her husband, Willie J. Buchanan; son, Robert Buchanan; sisters, Jeannette E. Stevens, Shirley Headley; and brothers, Kenny Bennett and Jimmy Bennett.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, October 2, 2023 in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front Street, Milford, Del 19963. A time of visitation for family and friends will begin at 11:00am. Burial will be held at the Lincoln Cemetery, Lincoln, Del.
