Beverly R. Harrison, 93

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Beverly, our loving and devoted mother and friend to all whose lives she touched on December 27, 2023, in Milford, Delaware. She was in her 93rd year.

Beverly was born January 16, 1930, in Winterset, Iowa to parents Earl and Blanche Rhodes. She graduated from Sand Hill High School in 1947, Ashville, NC, and married Courtenay J Harrison in 1948, Ashville, NC.

Beverly was a member and volunteer at Corkran United Methodist Church, in Temple Hills, Maryland. For many years, at election time, she worked at the local polls in various positions and was active in the District Heights Lioness Gateway Club and the Temple Hills Homemakers Club.

After the death of Courtenay in March 2004. Beverly moved to Milford, where she was a member of the Avenue United Methodist Church, the Milford Garden Club, and the Red Hats Society. For many years, she volunteered at the Milford Senior Citizens Center.

Beverly is survived by her children, Susan (Jerry) Romer, Nancy Harrison and Dale Harrison (Jane Mulvey); grandchildren Lori (Roger) Stone and Mark Romer (Samantha); great-grandchildren Alyssa and Gabrielle Romer. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Wayne and Donald.

Beverly was kind and generous, who always put the needs of others before her own. She treated others with compassion and dignity and lived her life with grace and humor.

Services will be held in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford, Delaware at 1 p.m., on Saturday, May 4, 2024. Interment will be private.
