Brenda Jean (Parsons) Mariner, of Milford Delaware, passed on to her next life in the Kingdom of Heaven on February 5, 2024. Brenda passed peacefully surrounded by her husband (and loving caregiver) Chuck and their daughters whom she loved and cared for so deeply. Brenda was born to the late Joseph Parsons & June Parsons on January 13, 1963. She was a lifelong Milford resident, and was the middle child of seven children.
Brenda is known for her kind heart. Everyone that knew her, loved her. She was kind to everyone, no matter if she had known you for years or just met you 5 minutes ago. Her uplifting spirit and positive nature made her a wonderful mother, mommom, wife, sister, and friend.
Brenda loved spending time with her family in any way she could. She loved being outdoors with her family, going camping, boating, fishing and hunting together. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach and pool with her grandkids and loved to do crafts with them. When the girls were younger, she spent many summers at the Milford Little League ballpark watching them play softball, bringing snacks and drinks as the Team Mom or helping out in the concession stand. More recently, in the warm weather months you could often find her sitting on the back porch reading a good book and watching for hummingbirds.
She enjoyed taking photos and creating scrapbooks. Brenda always had a camera and never let a special moment go by uncaptured. She loved spending time in her craft room going through photos, reliving memories and special moments with her girls. Brenda was most proud of her daughters and their accomplishments. She absolutely loved her two girls and their families, they were her whole world.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 34 years, Chuck Mariner; their daughters Nicole Mariner Quillen (G
ordy) and Morgan K. Vogel (Joey); two grandsons Cael and Griffin Quillen, four brothers Steve Parsons (Gail), Ron Parsons (Donna), Jay Parsons, Rick Parsons (Barb) as well as two sisters, Deb Viscuglia (Joe), and Fay Parsons (Martin). She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She leaves behind many friends; including her camping crew, scrapbooking “scrappy girls” and many other lifelong friends.
Brenda and her family would like to thank Dr. Cindy Siu, Bayhealth Sussex Oncology Team and Delaware Hospice for their unwavering support and care.
The family will be holding a Celebration of Life on March 2nd, 2024 from 5-8pm at the Milford Elks Lodge.
