Carol Kane

On Saturday July 6, 2024 Carol Kane of Harbeson DE, loving wife and mother, went to be with our Lord at the age of 83 years.

Carol worked as an office manager for various car dealerships in Maryland until her retirement in 1996 when she moved to Harbeson. She volunteered for Sussex County Habitat for Humanity for 16 years. Carol served on the Board of Directors, the Family Selection Committee and mentored new Habitat families. Habitat for Humanity described her as "someone who gives of herself to help others."

Carol was an active member of Harbeson Methodist Church. She led the Methodist Women's Group as president for 20 years. Additionally, she was the Chairperson of the Pastor-Parish Relations Committee for many years, and provided her bookkeeping skills as financial secretary.

Carol was predeceased by her spouse of 58 years, John L. Kane.

She is survived by her children, Pamela, Michael (Thomas Frost) and Teresa Reed (Terry). Carol will also be fondly remembered by her nieces, extended family and dear friends.

A memorial service is being planned and will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Carol can be made to: Harbeson Methodist Church, P.O. Box 45, Harbeson DE 19951.
