Charles A. Donovan

Charles A. Donovan passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Bayhealth Sussex Hospital in Milford. He was 81.

Charles was born on February 3, 1942, the son of the late Preston E. and Alice G. (Burton) Donovan.

He did farm work for many years and cherished his time at the Cheer Center in Georgetown with his friends.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth White; and his brother, Albert Donovan.

Charles is survived by his brother, Joseph H. Donovan of Georgetown; sister, Dorothy Cannon of Millsboro; and sister, June Donovan of Georgetown.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St. Georgetown, DE 19947, where friends may call after 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Conley’s Chapel Cemetery, Lewes.
