MILLSBORO – Clinton W. Fetterman, 83, of Millsboro DE, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 6th, 2022, surrounded by his family at Beebe Hospital in Lewes DE.
Clint was born in Philadelphia PA, son of the late Clinton F. Fetterman and Dorothy A. (Rickner) Fetterman.
Clint worked for Philadelphia Electric Company as a Construction Manager, although he mostly referred to himself as a pipefitter, for 35 years before retiring in 1990. Unable to sit still, he entered his post-retirement career as a teller at First National Bank of Chester County PA.
Clint was an active member of the United Methodist community, most recently at Providence United Methodist Church, Georgetown DE. Clint enjoyed any kind of building project, horseshoes, chess, reading, Star Trek, games with his family and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Anyone who knew Clint knew that they would be entertained with his endless stories.
Clinton was preceded in death by his late wife Eileen R. Fetterman.
Clint is survived by his children Clinton W. Fetterman II and wife Cynthia A., Deborah A. and husband John F. Stine IV, and James C. Fetterman.; nine grandchildren, Kelly and Daniel Fetterman, John V, Jeremy and Jessica Stine, James II, Melisa, Alexia and Madison Fetterman; and seven great-grandchildren, Gianna and Gemma Schoenfield, James III, Emmett and Asher Fetterman, Caleb and Landon Laury. Clint is survived by one brother Karl Fetterman and wife Kim, two sisters Donna Dillon and Joan Ingram, brother-in-law Walter F. Reeves III and wife Gina.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 15, from 11am-12pm with memorial service at Noon at St. John’s United Methodist Church, Gravel Hill Road, Georgetown DE. Clint will be reunited with his best friend Effie, whom he missed so much.
