Darrell R. Littleton

MILFORD – Darrell R. Littleton passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Bayhealth Sussex Campus. Darrell was born in Lewes, Delaware son of the late Louis and Martha Littleton. Darrell worked for twenty years with ConAgra Foods as a cart operator where he was known to his co-workers as “Train” because he always had his carts moving fast. He later worked as a laborer with George and Lynch retiring several years ago. Darrell was a simple man who enjoyed harness racing, playing the slots, wrestling, and any kind of auto racing; as well as riding his scooter (which he lovingly referred to as his “motorcycle”). In addition to his parents, Darrell is preceded in death by three brothers, William Littleton, Richard Littleton and Charles Littleton. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley (Tunis) Littleton; one son, Richard Hart and wife Lisa; one daughter, Teresa Busche and husband Rick; four grandchildren, Diana, Nicholas, Mark and Megan; four sisters, Pat Short and John, Norma Lynch and Larry, Sylvia Cash and Jim, Ann Carter and Jay; one brother, Kenny Littleton and Jenny; his loving canine companion who was always by his side, Miracle; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. A funeral service will be held at Noon on Saturday, February 19, 2022 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal Street, Milton, De 19968.
