David Eugene Fisher

February 23, 1962 — September 30, 2022

David Eugene Fisher, 60, of Dover, passed away at Johns Hopkins Hospital on September 30, 2022.


David was born on February 23, 1962, in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Easton High School in 1980.


He then joined the US Air Force and proudly served for 24 years as a loadmaster on C-5 and C-17 planes. He traveled all over the world. After retirement, he continued working for Atlas Air Cargo at the Dover Air Force Base. He was a proud and strong man and lived life to the fullest.


David was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Fisher of Bald Eagle, PA.


David will be greatly missed by his son, Dalton William Fisher and Katy of Tilghman, MD; his grandson, Declan Charles Fisher of Tilghman, MD; his mother, Barbara Fisher of Bald Eagle, PA; his brother, Daniel Fisher and Roberta of Easton, MD; his former wife of 28 years, Vickie Fisher of Tilghman, MD; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.


Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022, at 4:00 at the Milford Church of God, 500 N. Walnut St. Milford, DE 19963. Interment is private. Arrangements are in the care of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford. Online condolences may be sent to shortfuneralservicesandcremation.com.
