Debora Ann Davies

Debora Custer Davies, 70, passed away at her home of February 23, 2021. Born in Ocean City, New Jersey on August 24, 1950, she was the daughter of Harry and Gladys Custer. Deb attended Goldey-Beacom College and finished her degree at Wesley College in 1975. Throughout her life Deb worked as an administrative assistant, paralegal, and in insurance & sales. For many years, Deb was the owner/operator of Bennett’s Custom Dry Cleaning in Milford Delaware. In 2006, Deb worked for the Sussex County Court House as a judicial case manager until she retired 2014. In addition to her parents, Deb was preceded by her husband Michael M. Davies. She is survived by four stepchildren Karen Davies, Larry Davies, Jim Davies, and Trish Davies; and five step grandchildren. The family would like to extend they’re heartfelt thanks to her good friend Joyce Hooper who rendered endless care to Deb in her time of need. Deb always welcomed friends and family to her home at the beach for many years as she was always offering kindness and friendship to those she encountered. Living at the beach by the water was her place of tranquility. Deb enjoyed her passion of photography as she captured many memorable and amazing photos for everyone to enjoy. Debs never ending love for animals shined through as she was most happy with her German shepherd “Marley” who has been by her side every step of the way. Burial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Debs memory to Brandywine Valley SPCA, Georgetown Campus, 22918 Dupont Blvd, Georgetown, DE 19947.
