Debra Bayless

MILFORD-Debra Bayless departed this life August 8, 2022 after a long illness. She was born December 2nd, 1953 in Jacksonville, Florida. She graduated from Lake Forest High School in 1971 and worked for the State of Delaware for several years. She loved spending time outside with her flowers and children and later in life with her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents John and June butler, her brother David Butler, sons Travis, Kevin and Joseph Bayless, and her special daughter Kelly Bayless. She survived by her husband of 50 years, Clarence Bayless, her son Chad Bayless of Ellendale, DE, sister Teresa Mayfield of Tallahassee, FL, brother Bob Butler (Peggy) of Harrington, DE, sister-in-law Libby Butler of Harrington, DE, Grandsons Toby, Benjamin, Brody, Liam and Finley Bayless and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. The family would like to express their thanks to the nurses, doctors and staff of Bayhealth Sussex for their kindness during her stay. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front Street, Milford, DE and a time of Visitation will begin at 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Barratt’s Chapel Cemetery, Frederica, DE.
