Dianne M. (Guyer) Calhoun

GEORGETOWN – Dianne M. (Guyer) Calhoun passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 15, 2024.


Dianne was born July 7, 1955, in Philadelphia, PA, daughter to the late Jerry S. and Betty M. (Fuller) Guyer, of Milford.


Dianne began her career in social work in May 2006 with the Division of Social Services and retired December 30, 2022, as a social worker tech.


She was an active member of Cokesbury Worship Center in Georgetown.


Dianne is survived by her husband of 35 years, Howard “Jimmy” Calhoun; daughter, Kristy Monroe and husband Dale; son, Brad McPherson; five grandchildren, Cody Parsons, Brent McPherson, Brenden McPherson, Asher Monroe, Elizabeth Monroe; sister, Marianne Wink and husband Terry; two brothers, Jerry D. Guyer and wife Karen, Lester Guyer and wife Dawn; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.


A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, March 22, 2024, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown, Delaware where a time of visitation for family and friends will begin at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Henlopen Memorial Park.


In lieu of flowers the family welcomes memorial contributions to Cokesbury Worship Center, c/o Pastor Harold Carmean, 14814 Cokesbury Road, Georgetown, Del 19947.
