Donald "Dunk" Wilbur Argo

Donald Wilbur "Dunk" Argo, 74, of Felton, was a cherished brother and friend who infused warmth and laughter into the lives he touched. Born on December 20, 1949, in Milford, DE, to the late Howard Everett and Mildred (Heath) Argo, Dunk's journey came to a peaceful close on October 3, 2024, at Kent General Hospital in Dover, DE.

Dunk was a proud graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1968, where he was known for his friendly demeanor and infectious smile. His work ethic shone brightly through his dedicated years of service on Soupy Callaway's farm and at Charles West Farms, where he would illuminate even the ordinary day with cheerfulness.

In addition to his parents, Dunk is preceded in death by his siblings Ellen Sapp, Ruthann Argo, Doris Clegg, Everett Argo, and Clifford Argo

He leaves behind a daughter, Jaime Argo, his grandchild, Kally Bennett; his twin brother, Ronald Argo (Kaye); and siblings Gladys Argo, Sally Metzner (Roland), and David Argo; as well as several nieces and nephews. He shared a special bond with Soupy and Lillian Callaway, whom Dunk regarded as family.

A time of visitation will be held from 10:00am-12pm on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Berry-Short Funeral Home, 217 E. Main St. Felton, DE 19943. The funeral will begin at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Barratt’s Chapel Cemetery, Frederica, DE.
