Edward Thomas Maloney, 67 Milton - Edward Thomas Maloney passed away peacefully on October 10, 2021 surrounded by his loving family in his home in Milton. He was born at Milford Memorial Hospital to Thomas and Gladys (Savage) Maloney of Milford. Ed graduated from Milford High School in 1972. He proudly served in the National Guard until 1978. Ed also held a Merchant Marine Captains license. He worked for Milford Fertilizer after high school and then Royster Fertilizer. Ed worked for the State of Delaware for 27 years, beginning as the Captain of the Woodland Ferry and retired as Delaware Department of Transportation Engineering Tech IV. Ed’s many hobbies included hunting, fishing, clamming, crabbing, and farming. Ed held a 40-year membership with the Greenbrier Hunting Club in Milford Neck. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Donna; and son, Chris, both of Milton; parents, Gladys and Thomas; brother, Barry (Aileen) of Milford; a niece; two nephews; several great nephews; and friends. Celebration of Life Services will be held Sunday October 17, 2021 with visitation starting at 12:30 p.m. and service at 1:00 p.m. at the Milton Fire Hall in Milton DE. Casual attire only. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Milton Fire Company, Inc., 116 Front St., Milton, DE 19968.
