Else M. Ruediger

Else Marie (Mogck) Ruediger, 92, of Georgetown, Delaware, and formerly of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, entered into eternal rest in the early morning hours of February 23, 2025.

 Else was born in Alexandrowka, Bessarabia, on September 14, 1932, to Johannes and Elsa (Sucko) Mogck. She spent most of her early years in Germany. She and her late husband, Heinz Ruediger, immigrated to the United States in 1960, along with her parents and other family members, first settling in Philadelphia.

 Else was a talented seamstress with a strong work ethic, working in various businesses until the age of 83, when she retired from Bridaltown in Collegeville, PA. After retirement she completed over 500 dresses for girls all over the world in under privileged countries. 

 She enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything, always making sure they had enough to eat.

 Else is survived by her daughters, Gisela (Kenneth) Kelius of Royersford, PA, and Bettina (Jack) Kasopsky of Georgetown, DE. She was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Sonja, and infant great-granddaughter Addison Quay.

She is lovingly remembered by her eight grandchildren: Amy Kelius (partner of Michael Hunt), Jason Kelius, Michael (Beth) Kelius, Gareth (Andrea) Pahowka, Kiernan (Justin) Quay, Kyle (Navika Sharma) Pahowka, Meredith Pahowka, and Mikaela (Austin) Doss.

Else was also blessed with ten great-grandchildren: Elizabeth and Justin DiPiano, William and McKenzie Kelius, Paul and Alan Pahowka, Matthew Kelius, Atlas and Otto Doss, and Ellis Quay.

She is survived by her sister, Erna Straub and was preceded in death by her sister Annette Schuett and her brothers Albert, Gottfried, Gerhard and Johannes Mogck.

A graveside service will be held on February 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn, PA.
