Eugene Buckley

Eugene Buckley passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at Bayhealth Sussex Campus. Eugene was born in Milford, son of the late Raymond W. Sr., and Mary F. (Bunting) Buckley. Eugene had served in the U.S. Army and was a carpenter in the construction industry, working for many years with Messick and Gray Construction, Inc. in Bridgeville. He was a very private man but he had a heart full of love for his nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly, and enjoyed spending time with them and being involved in their lives. In addition to his parents, Eugene is preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Wayne Buckley, Jr. He is survived by three siblings, James Buckley, Dennis Buckley, Sr. and wife, Martha, and Tina Stevenson and husband, Charles; ten nieces and nephews, Stevie Stevenson and wife, Andrea, Lynsey Waller and husband, Dustin, Sherri Spitzer and husband, Steve, Tonya Schaeffer and husband, Scott, Kenneth Buckley, Dennis Buckley, Jr. and wife, Lisa, Michael Buckley, Kendall Buckley, Johnny Buckley and wife, Amber, and James Buckley and wife, Tina; as well as numerous great nieces, great nephews and extended family. Due to the restrictions set in place regarding COVID-19, all services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Home of the Brave, 6632 Sharps Road, Milford, DE 19963.
