Floyd Longfellow

Floyd Longfellow, 88, of Felton, DE passed away on December 30, 2022. He was born May 15, 1934 in Sandtown, DE and attended school in Felton, DE. From 1952 to 1999, he was employed at Playtex, Inc. in Dover, DE until his retirement.

Floyd enjoyed spending time gardening, woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his family and his dog Freeway.

Floyd was preceded in death by his father, John William; his mother, Edna; two sisters, Grace and Edna (Mary); three brothers, Robert, Gene, and Joseph; and a daughter, Bonnie Longfellow.

He is survived by two brothers, John William Vincent and Charles; one sister, Dorothy Williams; one son, Floyd Jr. of Florida; three daughters, Theresa Short, Mary Quigley of Milford, and Joyce Franks of Felton; eight grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

Floyd was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and firmly believed in a resurrection to life on a Paradise Earth.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 1pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 450 Upper King Road, Felton, DE and an online zoom, meeting ID 916 8710 5320 and passcode 497340.
