Frank Griffith

Frank Griffith passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023, in his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on December 20, 1938, to the late James Griffith and Bessie (Reed) Griffith Atkinson.

He was a Sergeant in the Army and he spent time in Germany. Frank worked as a mechanic for Reed's Auto Parts and Repairs for 40 plus years. He loved racing and working on race cars out of his garage. After he stopped racing, he continued helping on his son's and other local racers' cars.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Hartley Griffith; oldest daughter, Lorie Davis; his granddaughter; siblings, Jimmy Reed, Delores Jester, and Carolyn Pase.

He is survived by his son, Edward Griffith and wife, Christy of Boise, ID; daughter, Debbie Griffith of Milford, DE; son, Charles Griffith and wife, Angie of Accident MD; his brothers, Charles Reed and Burt Griffith; and two sisters, Jeanie Ellerbush and Irene Tearoy. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at the Elks Lodge #2401, 18951 Elks Lodge Rd. Milford, DE 19963, on Friday September 22nd, 2023 from 11:30am- 3pm.
