Frank Thomas Stella, 91

GEORGETOWN – Frank T. Stella, passed away peacefully at home on

Wednesday, September 13, 2023.

Frank was born in Passaic, NJ, on December 22, 1931, to the late Steve and Josephine (Meli) Stella. In his adult years, he had a career in banking and was the President of 2 New Jersey banks. After moving to Georgetown, he was also a member of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce. He loved volunteering and was a member of the Friends of the Georgetown Library. He also loved being with and spending time with family; especially his cat, Tasha.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Stella; and sister, Rosalie Stella.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Stella; and cousins, Josephine Pyzna, Maria Kelly, Louise Barbary, Felice Branca, and Tina Sonzogni.

A graveside will be held Friday, September 22, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Union Cemetery, 109 East Adams Street, Georgetown, DE 19947. Arrangements in the care of Short Funeral Services, 609 E Market Street, Georgetown, DE 19947.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Special Olympics Delaware, 619 S College Ave, Newark, DE 19716 or Georgetown Public Library, 123 W Pine St., Georgetown, DE 19947.
