Frederick C. Warrington

MAGNOLIA - Fred C. Warrington, age 90, passed away October 4, 2021, at Milford Bayhealth Hospital. He was born May 30, 1931, to James and Mamie Cooper Warrington on a farm in Sussex County, Delaware; when roads were dirt, flour was bought by the barrel and cows outnumbered people. Fred spent his youth farming with his father and brothers, then later with Carlton Clifton farms. He made a career change at the age of 37 by moving his wife, Patricia, and family to Magnolia, Delaware to work at General Foods in Dover as a forklift driver until his retirement. Fred loved spending time outdoors gardening, fishing, or mowing the lawn on a hot summer's day. He enjoyed professional wrestling and baseball. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Patricia Morris Warrington; sisters, Mildred Mitchell, and Marie Moore; brothers, Howard, Richard, Nelson, and Everett Warrington; and grandsons, Daniel Warrington, and Shawn Redding. Fred is survived by his daughters, Nancy Bloom (Don), Lynn Redding (Vernon), Renee Jennings (Shane); son, Donald Warrington; four grandchildren, Czar Bloom (Shelly), Paul Warrington (Tiffany), Lauren Sax (Tom) and Caiden Jennings; three great-grandchildren, Thomas Warrington and Thomas and Nicholas Sax; brother, Rodney Warrington (Dorothy); brother-in-law, Lee Moore; sisters-in-law, Ellen Warrington, and Elinor Morris. Internment at Henlopen Memorial Park will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association/ Delaware Valley Chapter, National Processing Center, PO Box 96011, Washington DC 20090-6011, or Delaware Hospice, 16 Polly Drummond Center, 2nd Floor, Newark DE 19711.
