Frederick L. "Fred" Nelson, Iii

LEWES – In the early morning of Monday, February 6, 2023, Frederick L. Nelson, III, died peacefully in his sleep. He was the eldest of six children born to Anna E. (nee Freburger) and Frederick L. Nelson, Jr., both of whom predeceased him. Fred was also predeceased by his brother, Francis.

Surviving Fred are his devoted wife Mary (nee Karwoski), daughter, Laura C. Nelson; son, Peter F. Nelson and wife Emily Nelson (nee Brown); and many other relatives.

Fred was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Ancient Order of Hibernians.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Edmond Catholic Church, 409 King Charles Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, De 19971 on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 11:30am. Prior to Mass, the family will receive guests beginning at 10:30am in the church.
