Gary Russell Hicks

Gary Russell Hicks, 75, of Georgetown, passed away at his home on Monday, May 31, 2021. He was born in Milford, the son of the late Elmer Roy and Miriam (Robinson) Hicks. He and his wife lived in Georgetown for 26 years. Gary served in the US Army in the Vietnam War. He belongs to the American Legion Post #28 riding club. Gary and his wife loved to spend their Friday evenings at Post #28. He was an ex-pumpkin chucker, and enjoyed Harley’s and classic cars. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his stepson, Eric Brophy. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Frances Nedra Hicks; his two daughters, Melissa Grudzinski (Mickey) and Michelle Hicks; his two stepsons, Mark Brophy (Sarah) and Tom Brophy (Melanie); and his grandchildren, Michael Brophy, Madison Grudzinski, and Aidan Grudzinski. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later time. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary’s honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
