Obituary for Gladys Wilson

Gladys Wilson, 95, of Georgetown, DE, passed away peacefully at Country Rest Home, Greenwood, DE surrounded by her loving family on March 2, 2025.

She was born on February 23, 1930, in Georgetown, DE to her parents, Charles A. and Ratie (Donovan) Rust.

Gladys retired as a Teacher’s Aid. When she was able, she attended Crossroads Community Church, Georgetown. She enjoyed reading, watching old cowboy shows, attending church, but most of all loved spending time with her family, friends and her cats. Gladys will be truly missed by her family and friends.

She enjoyed her 95th birthday on February 23, 2025 with her family.

In addition to her parents, Gladys is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Robert B. Wilson; daughters, Mary Jane Leger, Linda Sue Wilson, and Phyllis Ann Waterman.

She is survived by her children Kay Harrison, Walter Wilson, Robert Wilson, and William Wilson; 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, March 10, 2025, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown, DE. A time of visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Georgetown, DE.
