Gloria Ann (Carey) Absher

GEORGETOWN – Gloria Ann Absher passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 6, 2021 in the care of Seasons Hospice at Christiana Hospital. Gloria was born in Milford, daughter of the late Addison E. Sr., and Doris Marie (Ellingsworth) Carey. Gloria was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crafting, especially with artificial flowers, being with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Raymond J. “RJ” Waite, Jr., and her brother, Addison Carey, Jr. She is survived by her four children, George Bradford, Jr., Jeff Bradford and wife Mary, Roger Bradford and wife Noy, and Tina Absher; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown. A time of visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00am. Burial will immediately follow at St. Johnstown Cemetery in Greenwood.
