Harley E. Wilson

Georgetown—Harley E. Wilson, 89, peacefully passed away on July 24, 2023, at the Delaware Veterans Home, Milford, DE.

Harley was born and raised in Georgetown, DE.

He retired from DuPont Company and his hobbies included collecting old tractors, antique cars and talking on the phone. Harley proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Effie (Fleetwood) Wilson; his wife, Pearl (Terry) Wilson; and his sister, Bernice Jackson.

Harley is survived by his daughter, Maria Hammond; his son in law, Jerry Hammond, Sr.; his grandsons, Jerry Hammond, Jr., and Todd Hammond.

During one of our last visits, he asked us to tell everyone that had visited him at the Delaware Veterans Home and called him, he said, “Goodbye”. Job completed.
