Hazel Lee Swafford Cohee

Hazel Lee Swafford Cohee, 86, of Milford, passed away on April 19, 2021. Hazel was born in Nebo, NC to the late Charles Edward and Carrie Leola (Gregory) Swafford. She retired from Kraft Foods, where she worked many years. She loved fishing, boating, and held a commercial crabbing license. In her free time, she loved reading, crocheting, and dancing. In addition to her parents, Hazel is preceded in death by 8 brothers, 2 sisters, and her son-in-law, Duke Alexander. She is survived by her daughters, Maria Alexander, Sharon Holloway (Dale), and Carol Sapp (Bob); her sister, Barbara George; her 5 grandchildren, Duke, Stacey, Rodney, Bobbi, and Nick; her 9 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Berry-Short Funeral Home, 217 E. Main St. Felton, DE, 19943. A time of visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Flowers are accepted, but donations may be made in Hazel’s honor to the American Heart Association, P.O.
