Herman C. "Chan" Lockwood

MILLSBORO – Herman C. “Chan” Lockwood, Jr., formerly of Seaford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. Chan was born in Dagsboro, Delaware son of the late Herman C. Sr., and Althea (Smack) Lockwood. Chan worked in sales for many years at Dover Electric. He and his wife Sandra were also members of Calvary Baptist Church in Georgetown. Chan served his country in both the US Navy where he was honorably discharged as ABGAN in 1960; he then served two years in the US Army and was honorably discharged as PFC in 1962. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sandra (Rhoades) Lockwood; three children, Belinda Jones of Greenville, SC, Don Sharitz of San Antonio, TX and Brenda Messick and husband Bill of Seaford; one brother; 10 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Services will be private.
