Jane Elizabeth (Dill) Adametz

April 10, 1935 — January 20, 2023

Jane Elizabeth (Dill) Adametz, age 87 of Whiting NJ, went home to be with our Lord and Savior

Jesus on January 20th, 2023, in Milton, Delaware.


Jane is survived by her son Joseph M. Adametz Jr of Mohnton PA ; her son James R. Adametz

of Farmingdale NJ; her daughter Judith S. Walters of Milton DE; her daughter Joy A. McGuire

of Toms River NJ; 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and her brother Edward Dill, and

sister Lois Spencer. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph M. Adametz Sr, her

sisters Claire (Sookie) Dyer, Anne Lotkowictz, Mary Boudreaux, Shirley Quirk, Margaret (Peggy)

Marczak, Catherine Jobe, and brothers James (Yickey) Dill, William Dill, Leo Dill, Leroy Dill,

Louis (Minnie) Dill and her grandson Timothy J. Adametz.


Jane was born in 1935 in South Amboy NJ to parents James and Susan Dill. Jane started

working at the Prudential Insurance Co as a clerical worker soon after graduation from South

Amboy High School. She was a tireless worker in many church activities including Sunday

School teaching, choir, youth groups and youth retreats. She was also an avid crafter, having

made some of the most beautiful porcelain dolls that she sold at craft fairs in the area. She was

also the author of the “Books of the Bible” song to teach young people the entire set of 66 books

in the Bible.


She married Joseph Michael Adametz Sr. in April of 1955, and the couple had four children

together. Her family and friends will always remember her as a loving mother, grandmother and

great grandmother, and the maker of the world’s best apple pies.


A memorial service is scheduled for Jane on Feb 3rd 2023, at 1 pm at Emmanuel Community

Church in Bayville, NJ. Pastor Will Walters will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate

Janes’s life.
