JEAN ANN (POULIN) KORNMANN (1945-2024)

On December 11, 2024 Jean passed away at Beebe Hospital, Lewes, Delaware.

Jean was born in Waterville, Maine in the year of our Lord August 15, 1945 to Lorenzo Poulin and Germaine Poulin. Jean graduated from Mount Merci Academy in Waterville, Maine in 1963. She attended Saint Joseph College in Emmitsburg, Maryland. She also attended and graduated from Catherine Laboure` School of Nursing in 1965. Jean worked many years in the Nursing field and retired in 1990 as a Director of Nurses. She then started and was part owner of Maryland Foundation for Health Care. She retired in 2006.

Jean is survived by her husband Robert and one son Christopher and a sister Elaine Boutin. She is also survived by the love of her life her granddaughter Zoe. There was no sacrifice big or small she would not make for her Zoe. She has attended every one of Zoe’s celebrations. Jean enjoyed playing The “One Armed Bandits” at local casinos.

Jean with her easy going temper and accepting nature made friends easily. Every place she and Bob lived, the neighbors became lifelong friends. She will be missed terribly by her family and friends. Rest in Peace.

Funeral service for Jean will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024 at 7:00 pm at Short Funeral Services, Inc in Georgetown, DE.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation with Jean's family on Monday from 12:00 to 2:00pm and again from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home.
