John "Jack" M. Miller, Jr.

John (Jack) M. Miller, Jr., 76, of Georgetown, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 12, 2023, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.

John was born on October 31, 1946, in Milford to the late John Maurice, Sr. and Marguerite (Sammons) Miller.

John graduated from Milton High School in 1964, where he played basketball and ran track. He was a proud veteran of the US Army National Guard and was honorably discharged from his service in 1971. He worked for Verizon for 40 years and retired in 2005. He loved travelling, gardening, and always had a project or two going on at his house. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Jack will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Karen J. (Zelensky) Miller; his sons, David Harmic of Fairfax, VA and Greg Miller of Milton, DE; his grandsons, Sam and Chris Harmic of Fairfax, VA; as well as numerous friends and extended family members.

A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St. Milton, DE 19968.
