John L. "Jack" Frazer

May 25, 1928 — October 14, 2023

GEORGETOWN – John L. “Jack” Frazer went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 14, 2023.

Jack was born on May 25, 1928, in Lewes, De, son of the late Harry A. and Mary C. (Hill) Frazer. Jack was a loving and wonderful husband of 72 years to his late wife, Elizabeth L. “Betty” Frazer, who passed away in 2020. Jack and Betty dedicated their lives to God, each other, and their family.

For many years, he was an active member of First Baptist Church in Lewes. After moving to Georgetown, Jack and Betty joined First Baptist Church of Georgetown. Jack held several church positions and faithfully served as a Deacon at both churches. Jack was a very strong man and Godly example to anyone who knew him.

Jack served in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He was honorably discharged with his last service being aboard the USS Toledo CA-133. He worked for 35 years in civil service as fireman with Dover Air Force Base.

In addition to his parents, and his beloved wife Betty, Jack is preceded in death by a brother, Harry Frazer formerly of Lewes, and a sister, Mary Hudson formerly of Seaford.

He is survived by three daughters, Bonny Figurski (Chip) of Georgetown, Jacque Connor (Ron) of Lake Wales, Fla, and Leslie Aurillo (Joe) of Seaford. Jack was very proud of his eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren (with a fourth due to arrive in November). Jack will be deeply missed, cherished, and loved; his Godly example and caring heart will be treasured forever!

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, October 22, 2023 in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church, 20304 N. Dupont Blvd, Georgetown, Del 19947; where a time of visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00pm.
