Joseph D. Appleton

Joseph Appleton, 67, of Seaford, passed away on September 19, 2023, at Tidalhealth Nanticoke surrounded by his caregivers and friends.

Joseph was born on February 3, 1956, in Dover to his late mother, Rae Pierce.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Linda Emmert and Elizabeth Sampson.

He will be greatly missed by his brother, Edward Czirki of California; sister, Teresa Czirki of Puerto Rico; uncle, Harold Hannum of Harrington; and uncle, Raymond Hannum of Felton.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, DE 19947. The viewing will be from 11am-12pm, with the funeral starting at noon. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, Georgetown.
