Judith Ann Timmerman Nemith, 81, passed away peacefully at home in Milford, DE on Saturday, April 30th, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Timmerman and Esther (née Wells) Coons. Born in Jamestown, N.Y. on December 28th, 1940, She spent most of her youth in Painted Post, Elmira and Corning N.Y. areas. She moved to and settled in Delaware in 1961. Her work as a secretary for Kraft foods is how she met and fell in love with the love her life and husband, the late Joseph Nemith. They married on Friday, July 17th, 1970 and planted roots in Camden-Wyoming DE where they raised six beautiful children. They had a remarkable 45 years of marriage before his death in 2016. She continued secretarial/administrative work at a local chiropractor's office before moving on to work for the state at the Department of Technology and Information. She retired in 2014 at the age of 74 after 10 years of service. Judy was a active member of Holy Cross Church in Dover for many years and enjoyed singing in the church choir. Her faith was extremely important to her. Purple was her favorite color and she owned just about anything you can think of in various shades of it. Other areas of interest were crafts, sewing clothes, square dancing, playing piano, bowling, cross-stitch, crochet, puzzles, traveling and tending to her houseplants and indoor/outdoor flowers. She was lovingly nicknamed “The Dover Rover”. She was an avid animal lover and especially adored kitties and puppies. She loved her family passionately and was fiercely devoted to each and every member. Judy was proceeded in death by her parents, four siblings Mary, Jean, Susan and John, beloved husband Joseph Nemith, son Paul Ashley and Granddaughter Stephanie Wilkes. She is survived by five children, Dawn Ashley, Mark (Rose) Ashley, Lynn Ashley, Joshua (Arpi) Nemith and Melinda Daniel, four grandchildren Daniel (Nadiya) Bailey, Brittany (Thomas) Townsley, Eli (Caitlin) Ashley and Benjiman Daniel, eight great-grandchildren Maya and Brianna Bailey, Ethan Wilkes, Quinten Campion, Liam Bartz, Lincoln Townsley, Tyler (Samantha) Townsley and Kayla (Brent) Townsley and extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, May 10th, 2022 at 1:00PM at the Delaware Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery 26669 Patriot Way, Millsboro, Delaware 19966. Wearing something purple in her honor is encouraged. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Lewy Body Dementia Association at lbda.org or your local 501C non-profit animal rescue.
