June M. Cummings, 68

Selbyville – June M. (Caputi) Cummings passed away peacefully in the care of Harrison Senior Living in Georgetown, Delaware on Saturday, September 23, 2023.

June was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and worked for many years in the Housekeeping department of Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Chester, PA. Throughout her life June maintained a sweet, giving, and selfless nature. She was very close to her family, caring and sacrificing for them whenever called upon. In her last years, June was as a devoted daughter who lived her days caring and spending joyful times with her mother and assisting her with the daily chores of this life.

She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Bethany Beach where she attended services with her mother.

June is proceeded in death by her brother Mark W. Appet.

She is survived by her two children, Joseph Cummings, and Michelle Cummings; her mother, Jane M. Cooper; her father Thomas Stephen Caputi; her sister, Michelle J. Appet; a nephew, Nathaniel A. Myers and Aunt, Susan Fema.

A Celebration of June’s Life will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, October 5, 2023 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown, DE 19947.
