Kathryn "Kate" K. Albertson

Kathryn “Kate” (Krum) Albertson, 98, passed away May 30, 2024, at the Harrison House in Georgetown, De. She had lived in Bloomsburg, Pa. until 1999 when she moved to Milford, De. She lived in Milford until April 17th of this year until she moved to Georgetown.

Kate was born Jan 18, 1926, to the late Benjamin and Ruth Krum of Bloomsburg, Pa.

Kate retired from Bloomsburg Mills in 1991 as an office clerk after 46 years of employment.

Kate enjoyed camping with her husband Babe. She was always ready to go on vacation, especially to Myrtle Beach and Tenn. She was a lover of nature, especially birds and flowers and couldn't wait to feed the deer in her backyard.

Kate was a member of Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Babe) in 1981, her sisters Martha Schultz in 1970, Evelyn Tressler in 2008 and her pet poodles, Angel, Heidi and Missy.

She is survived by her daughters Kay (Fred) Bird, Frederica, De. and Jane (Bill) Moyer, Bloomsburg, Pa.; grandsons Brian (Jackie) Bird, Melrose, Ma. and Mark (Monica) Bird, Milford, De.; great grandsons, Jake and Josh Bird, Melrose, Ma. and Mason and Max Bird, Milford, De.; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Kathryn's name to Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, 260 E. 7th St., Bloomsburg, Pa. 17815.

Viewing will be Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 Front St., Milford, DE from 1:30 - 3:00pm. Graveside Services will be Thursday, June 6, 2024, at New Rosemont Cemetery, 2151 Old Berwick Rd., Espy, PA at 12:00.
