Kathy Lea Clendaniel

Kathy Lea (Holloway) Clendaniel, 70, of Milford (formerly of Ellendale), passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023 at her home in Milford.

Kathy was born on January 13, 1953 in Milford to the late William O. Holloway and Shirley Lea (Ellingsworth) Holloway Joseph.

Kathy graduated from Milford High School in 1971. She was a member of the Ellendale Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and served as the Assistant Treasurer. She was the Honor Queen of the Milford Bethel of Job’s Daughters International.

In addition to her parents, Kathy is preceded in death by her husband, Joshua Barrett Clendaniel, Jr.; her sisters, Billie Dea Beck and Cheryl Christy Joseph; her step-father, Theodore H. Joseph; and her step-children, Gary Lynn Clendaniel, Joshua Barrett Clendaniel III, and Jody Brian Clendaniel.

She will be greatly missed by her siblings, Benjamin Holloway, Gladys Jarrell (Dale), Rosemary Joseph-Kappel, Elizabeth Ann Holloway, and Mandy Holloway (Thomas); her step-children, David Clendaniel (Gloria), Stephen Michael Clendaniel (Roberta), and Cristie Baker (Rick); grandchildren Nickole Visan, Dana Clendaniel, David Clendaniel, Duane (Alisha) Clendaniel and great grandaughter Leia Clendaniel, Kara Clendaniel, and Olivia Visan; as well as nieces Briona Dea Holloway and Mikayla Joseph and many other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, DE 19963. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ellendale Cemetery.
