Kevin P. Betts, Sr.

GREENWOOD – Kevin P. Betts, Sr., passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.

Kevin was born in Milford, one of three sons born to William F. and Dixie (Hayt) Betts.

Kevin was self-employed and enjoyed his job of repair, maintenance and landscaping at area Uncle Willie’s stores. Kevin loved to help others whatever the need. He was an avid dirt track racing fan and loved cheering for his favorite driver, Stewart Friesen. In addition to dirt track, he loved his Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed watching wrestling.

He is survived by his son, Kevin Betts, Jr., (Harlee); daughter, Kylie Betts, step-daughter, Crystal Ziesmer; a granddaughter, Alexis Dixie Betts; his companion of twenty years, Gladys Ann Passwaters; two brothers, Skip Betts (Kristi) and Chris Betts, Sr., (Cheryl); nieces and nephews, Wendi Walsh, Chris Betts, Jr., Cory Betts, MaryBeth Pete, and Will Betts and their families; and a cousin, Gregory Hayt to whom he remained close.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, February 3, 2023 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal Street, Milton, De 19968. A time of visitation for family and friends will begin at Noon. Interment will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milton.

In lieu of flower the family welcomes memorial contributions to Milton Fire Department, 116 Front Street, Milton, DE 19968.
