Leroy H. Wilcutts, 95, of Milford, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 23, 2022.
Leroy was born on February 6, 1927, in Frederica to the late Ormsby and Frieda (Ridley) Wilcutts.
Leroy worked at DuPont Nylon Plant in Seaford for 38 years before his retirement. He worked also as a parts distributor for i.g. Burton and Wilson’s Car Auctions. He was a proud WWII Army Veteran. He was a member of the Improved Order of Redmen, Sakimas Tribe No. 10 of Milford, and an honorary member of Memorial Fire Company of Slaughter Beach. He loved perusing flea markets, and enjoyed completing crossword puzzles.
In addition to his parents, Leroy is preceded in death by his sons, David and Mark Wilcutts; and his brother, Lloyd Wilcutts.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of twenty-eight years, Rebecca Rose (Coffman) Wilcutts; his children, Allen Brooks (Marilyn Krauss), Connie Butler, Rose German (Tom), Ronald Warren (Doris), James Messick; his daughter-in-law, Shannon; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 31, 2022 at 1pm at Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St. Milford, DE 19963. A time of visitation will begin at 11am. Interment will follow the services at Milford Community Cemetery.
