Leroy Sard

Leroy Sard, 83, of Milford, DE, passed away on September 2, 2024, at BayHealth Hospital. He was born in Wilmington, DE on December 11, 1940.

Leroy attended the Church of God. He was employed as an exterminator for 38 years and painter for 18 years. He retired from the Milford School District after 33 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Sard; daughter, Lorraine Moffett and sister, Connie English.

Leroy survived by his wife of 63 years, Judith (Twigg) Sard; daughter, Iris Hammond; son Robert Leroy Sard (Sandra); siblings, Betty Webb and Wayne English; and seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 2:00pm in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 N.W. Front Street, Milford, DE and a time of visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 2:00pm where friends and family may be received.

In lieu of flowers the family welcomes memorial contributions to: Milford Parks and Recreation Dog Park, 207 Franklin Street, Milford, DE 19963.
