Margaret Stanaitis "Peg" Diggins

REHOBOTH – Margaret S. “Peg” Diggins completed the chapters of her earthly life on Saturday, June 19, 2021, and returned to the Lords library of peace. Born in January 1937 in Chester, PA, she was a 1953 graduate of Chester High School and worked at Pennsylvania Bell Telephone until her 1957 marriage to Leon Stanaitis; with whom she shared 22 years of marriage. In 1984, she remarried to Edward Diggins; with whom she celebrated 37 years of marriage. They retired to south Delaware in 1989 and enjoyed volunteering, arts and crafts, and her beloved cats. She was preceded in death by her parents; aunt and uncle; an infant granddaughter, Mikayla in 2001; as well as, her former husband, Leon David Stanaitis who passed in April 2020 from COVID disease. She herself had a 15 month courageous battle with health issues and COVID disease as well. Peg is survived by her husband, Edward Diggins; her daughter, Sandra Lee Stanaitis, a son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, her family requests contributions to Bryn Mawr Hospital, Palliative Care Services, 130 S.
