Marie Bradley Passwaters

HOUSTON – Marie Bradley (nee Hopkins) Passwaters, 86, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Bayhealth Hospital Sussex Campus. Ms. Passwaters was born on December 5, 1934, to the late Edwin W. and Gertrude Brown Hopkins and raised near Andrewville on the family farm. Ms. Passwaters travelled extensively in Europe with her four children when her husband served in the Army. In her later years, Ms. Passwaters enjoyed her business of caning chairs, which she continued until she became ill. In addition to her parents, Ms. Passwaters was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Brunelli of Phoenix, Arizona; husband, Harold E. Bradley, Sr., and second husband, Walter ‘Spec’ Passwaters. She is survived by her children, Karen Blackwood (Jeff) of Verden, Oklahoma, Harold E. Bradley, Jr. (Janet) of Bridgeville, DE, and Lester D. Bradley (Kathy) of Smyrna, DE; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and sister, Evelyn Taylor (David) of The Villages, FL. A time of visitation will be held in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, DE on Thursday, August 26, 2021, from 6 pm until 8 pm with funeral services on Friday, August 27, 2021, at 11 am. Interment will be at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
