Mark H. Donaldson

Georgetown- Mark H. Donaldson, beloved husband to Sandra L. Donaldson and father of Stephen L. Donaldson passed away peacefully on Sept 15, 2021. Mark was born June 9,1940 in Pontiac, MI. He and Sandra met at the University of Maryland and were married at the Memorial Chapel on October 28, 1967. Upon graduation Mark became a Federal Agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. Upon retirement he had another career as Vault Manager and Banking Officer with the Precious Metals Division of Wilmington Trust. After that retirement, he took on another career as a Contractor, doing investigations and backgrounds for the ATF, FBI, Defense Department and many other Federal agencies. In 2006, upon Sandra’s retirement, they moved to Georgetown and built their dream home. In addition to his wife and son, he is survived by a sister, Juanita Sharpley of Green Valley, AZ and several cousins all over the country. A visitation will be held Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, at 12:30 at the Cheer Center, 20520 Sand Hill Road, Georgetown, with memorial service beginning at 1:00 pm. If not vaccinated, please wear a mask.
