Mark T. Bennett

Mark T. Bennett, 61, of Milton, DE passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Beebe Hospital in Lewes, DE. Mark was born on August 23, 1963 to James and Arlene (Nielsen) Bennett in Ridgewood, NJ.

Growing up in New Jersey, Mark had moved to New York State before settling in Delaware for the last ten years. He attended Ramapo College of New Jersey where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. He was a born again Christian who took pride in his work and was dedicated to any job that he put his hands to, whether that be working as a chemist, a project specialist, or doing yard work. When Mark was younger he played football and never lost his love of sports. He taught his sons baseball and created memories that will last a lifetime. Above all this, Mark loved his family. Even when life was busy and difficult, he made sure to not miss the important events like Christmas and birthdays. He will be remembered as a man who was devoted to those he loved.

Mark is preceded in death by his father, James Bennett and his brother, John Bennett.

He will be deeply missed by his mother; Arlene Bennett, step father; James Fagan, sons; Tyler Bennett, and Ryan Bennett, former wife; Karen Bennett, siblings; Tracy Jackson, James Bennett, many other family members, friends and his beloved cat, Sonny.

Services remembering and honoring the life of Mark Timothy Bennett will be held at a later date.
