Marlin E Elliott

December 11, 1940 — March 27, 2021

Marlin Eloise Elliott, 80, of Houston passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 27, 2021. Marlin was born in Milford, Delaware on December 11, 1940 to the late Marshall and Susie A. (Snyder) Murray. She retired from Perdue Farms after working 30 years and Mr. Donut/Donut Connection after 15 years. She enjoyed cleaning houses and taking care of the elderly in her retirement. Marlin enjoyed yard sales, shopping, going on vacations, and visiting family in Morgantown, West Virginia. She loved her family and liked the coffee visits at each other’s homes. She especially loved visits from her little man, Harles and her granddaughter MaKayla. Marlin was a big jokester and would get the biggest kick out of it too. If someone had a need and she knew about it she would help out and kept it behind closed doors, she would say it was nobody’s business. One thing is for sure everybody knew where they stood with her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Crawford D. Elliott Sr.; grandson, Crawford D. Elliott, III; her brothers and their spouses, Darrell (Marie) Murray, Donald (Bertha) Murray, Wesley (Lucy) Murray Sr., and Gerald (Edith) Murray; and her sisters and their spouses, Winnie (Homer) Hurd, Edith (Robert) Hurd, and Lanora (Andy) Herd. She is survived by her sons, Crawford D. (Racheal) Elliott Jr. and Timothy M. (Christina) Elliott; granddaughter, MaKayla (Branden) Watts; and great-grandson, Harles B. Watts; her niece and caregiver, Joyce Herd; and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 6 – 8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021 at 12 noon in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, DE 19963, where friends may call after 11 am. All those in attendance must wear a mask and adhere to social distancing and gathering protocols. Any donations can be made to the following: Sandra J.
